Kat - I have the 64 GB WiFi iPad. The number of gigs makes no difference to how fast or reliable it works (crashes, etc.) - all iPads are the same in that way. The gigs refer to the amount of storage space you have - i.e. how many videos, mp3's, apps, and files you can put on there. The 16 GB version will work just as smoothly as the 64 GB one for drawing.

So, which ipad did you purchase? How many gigs does the ipad need to have to draw like this without crashing, etc.

Thanks Warder, good tips. I'm still getting used to the program. I'll also try out a glove soon. Overall, I don't mind keeping my hand up though. I do the same thing when I paint traditionally.

Thanks - that was really helpful. I've been on the fence as to the usefulness of the iPad but I definitely see a use for it now. As much as I prefer open-source whenever possible, I have doubts that another manufacturer will be able to pull off the ease of use the iPad seems to have.

Does the Sketchbook Pro app (which is a steal at $10) export in some format with layers that can be pulled into Photoshop, Illustrator or maybe Inkscape?
