Cool vid mate I liked it :)

Just a quick note, you can swipe the screen with 3 fingers to bring the brush menu a swipe to the left eill undo and a swipe to the right will redo.

  2. Warder says:

another thing, why don’t you use an open fingered glove? seems like it will be easier.

    • Dani says:

Thanks Warder, good tips. I’m still getting used to the program. I’ll also try out a glove soon. Overall, I don’t mind keeping my hand up though. I do the same thing when I paint traditionally.

Thanks – that was really helpful. I’ve been on the fence as to the usefulness of the iPad but I definitely see a use for it now. As much as I prefer open-source whenever possible, I have doubts that another manufacturer will be able to pull off the ease of use the iPad seems to have.

Does the Sketchbook Pro app (which is a steal at $10) export in some format with layers that can be pulled into Photoshop, Illustrator or maybe Inkscape?

  4. Kat says:

So, which ipad did you purchase? How many gigs does the ipad need to have to draw like this without crashing, etc.

    • Dani says:

Kat – I have the 64 GB WiFi iPad. The number of gigs makes no difference to how fast or reliable it works (crashes, etc.) – all iPads are the same in that way. The gigs refer to the amount of storage space you have – i.e. how many videos, mp3′s, apps, and files you can put on there. The 16 GB version will work just as smoothly as the 64 GB one for drawing.
