Impatience

Impatience

Here is an Illustration Friday entry for the theme “Impatience”. I decided to play around with watercolor instead of my usual digital painting.

The original painting is available for sale in my store.

You can also view the making of this painting on Ustream.

    Hi Dani,
LOL I laughed when I saw this.. this is just terrific work! I’ve just started working with watercolors myself, and I was wondering.. seems like the paper I’m working with just constantly curls up whenever I put enough water on it. Am I just using low grade paper or is there something I can do to prevent this? I’m working with small sized papers that I’ve cut up.. like 4×6 and such..
    Thanks! Love your site!

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

Carlos – Yes, the best way to prevent curling is to use good, heavyweight paper. You can also try taping the paper down to a board.
