Intricate

Here’s a sketch I did this morning, inspired by the Illustration Friday theme “Intricate”. I first thought of an egg, and of course I had to think of something cute to put into it.

I sketched this during a uStream broadcast, so you can see the archived video here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1220986

I might be missing something, but how come an egg is “intricate”? or is this cos an egg is kinda the opposite of intricate? just feeling a bit dumb cos i an not “getting” it.

You’re right Tor. I think I had something more like “delicate” on my mind when I drew it. Intricate doesn’t fit exactly. But what can I say, I’m an artist, not an English professor. :P

Thanks for all the comments so far everyone.

I love: the slightly dazed look on the little bird’s face, the turquoise color, and your hatch-marks. Lovely!
