Okay, this isn’t exactly an island, but it is what came out when I sat down to make this week’s Illustration Friday entry.

lovely, gorgeous colours..
I agree, gorgeous colors – and a cute interpretation of the theme. I really love your style.
I shared your idea a bit. I love your style, Dani and the colors are gorgeous!
Usually the first idea is the best, and it’s an island from the turtle’s perspective! Great colors and style!
I like it! Great colors!
This painting makes me happy!
It’s a beautiful illustration! en very sweet!
It’s island from Tales from the Thousand and One Nights, isn’t it ;-)
Brilliant illustration!
cute
This is too sweet! I love the turtle’s expression!
very cute.
haha!! Great illustration!
Wonderful! I adore the turtle and the colors are wonderful. =)
Sooo cute!
Very nice work. I love how expressive both the turtle and the whale are.
Oh Dani that ilustração is contiguous, cores master ace that você uses! Show!
Oh how I love the awesomeness of this whale…
I think its that goofy grin mostly but what just really makes me happy are those warm to cool color shifts in the water and sky…along with that orange/red reflective light.
Sigh….just love a good reflected light.
Oh and I wish I was a turtle right now also.
Ok now I am done
Actually, medieval bestiaries claim that whales deceive sailors by having part of their backs exposed to the surface. The sailors would then land their ship on the whale's back and begin cooking dinner. Eventually, the whale would notice and begin to move. The sailors would then try to get back to the ship. Your art is awesome!
