I’ve never really drawn with pen and ink extensively before. I guess I was always afraid of it — it’s so bold and permanent. But the other day, I went and bought some ink, a pen, and a brush to play around with. Just as I expected, I wasn’t very good at it. Every so often, I’d get a drawing that I thought looked okay. These are them. Not very many compared to how many I drew, but overall, I’m having tons of fun. I guess that’s all that matters.
It’s getting to be that time of year again. I can’t wait for the leaves to start turning!
Play ball! A pretty low-key entry for Illustration Friday this week, but it’s something. These are some black and white spots that I created for fun.
These are little character sketches from the Bible. Here, you’ve got Ruth, Naomi, Boaz, and Orpah!
This one I did about a year ago. It was done as a digital illustration experiment. I liked doing the dragon’s texture… it was done by scanning a bunch of jelly beans that I placed on my scanner.
